It has been decided.  There are officially two clear cut leaders of the smart phone revolution.  Like Coca-Cola and Pepsi in the cola wars, the iPhone and the Blackberry have emerged as the super powers.  Online casinos have taken note.  Many online casinos have chosen to expand operations by introducing mobile casinos.

The problem is that these smart phones run their applications on two completely different types of software.  Most applications for the Blackberry operate on a Java programming platform.  Applications for the iPhone operate on an Objective-C programming platform.  Objective-C does not communicate with the Blackberry and Java does not communicate with the iPhone.

This means gamblers have to choose between the two smart phones.  But it remains to be seen how much online casinos influence which purchase consumers make.  Consumers aged 18 to 25 tend to purchase the iPhone while the Blackberry currently dominates the business scene. 

At the moment the iPhone is the most popular smart phone on the market.  Each generation of the iPhone proves to be a technological marvel.  But the Blackberry has several things working to its benefit.  The Blackberry product has been around for much longer and has a loyal following.  There is also the latest generation of the Blackberry in the form of the Blackberry Bold and the Blackberry Storm.  These two models are certain to rival the iPhone in capability and hopefully in sales.  

Gamblers will have several decisions to make this holiday season.  They will have to consider the phone that best suits their business needs as well as their entertainment needs.
