It seems like Wheel of Fortune slot machines are in the Holiday spirit.  It was just this month that a woman in Florida won the biggest slot machine jackpot in the state’s history from the Wheel of Fortune slot machine.  Now a 24 year old baby sitter visiting Las Vegas wins similar sized jackpot from the same family of slot machines. 

Jessica Agbunag of Waipahu, Hawaii was playing slot machines at the California Hotel and Casino when the Wheel of Fortune slot machine yielded up $2.4 million. 

“I’m excited,” said Jessica Agbunag.

“I didn't even know I would win. I just wanted to come up here and shop.”

This just goes to show the random nature of slot machines.  When luck is on your side amazing things can happen, though some argue that is was not pure luck on Agbunag’s side; perhaps something more supernatural.  Agbunag’s life changing jackpot happened on her Grandmother Victoria Savella’s birthday.  Agbunag’s grandmother died two years ago.

“Everybody was like, ‘Grandma was with you,’” she said.

In fact Agbunag and her family traveled to Las Vegas in remembrance of the grandmother’s birthday.  They were also treating two cousins that had just turned the magical age of 21.  Apparently Agbunag’s grandmother was a regular visitor to the Las Vegas Strip and preferred to stay in the California Hotel.

“She loved to come to Vegas. She was a Vegas lady,” said Agbunag with a sense of pride.

Slot machines is apparently a family preference as it was her Grandmother’s game of choice.  Agbunag was apparently lucky all week as she won twice at the Wheel of Fortune slot machine before hitting the mega jackpot.
