Online Casinos Make Presence Known
Online poker rooms and online casinos are becoming more and
more influential. Not just on the Internet, but in the world of gambling as a
whole. Pokerari.com has announced a first. The Malta-licensed site has
announced its honor of being the first site to offer qualifying tournaments for
Events 49 through 53 of the upcoming World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2008, in none
other than the gambling Mecca of Las Vegas.
The only recently launched site stated that despite the
immense popularity gained by WSOP Main Event qualifiers in last few years, most
poker players are starting to find the odds of winning a $12,000 package very
slim. This is especially true for players with more modest bankrolls.
“Pokerari.com has stepped forward to fill the niche and has started offering
online qualifiers for WSOP 2008 events 49, 51, 52 and 53,” said Toby Clarke,
Pokerari.com spokesperson.
“The fact that these side events have a buy-in almost ten times smaller than
the Main Event gives players reasonable odds for winning the package even if
they enter the lowest, $1.10 satellite or one of two weekly free roll-type
satellites.”
Pokerari.com intends to hold its WSOP qualifiers every day before ending with
a $100 Grand Finale on June 1, 2008.
“So far Pokerari.com is the only online card room offering satellites to
these popular events and we are planning to send at least three players to this
year’s WSOP in Pokerari.com colors,” said Clarke.
Online casinos are not settling for the status of being a simple alternative
in the gambling world. These efforts by Pokerari.com mark the ambition of
online casinos and poker rooms to be a competitive force and a permanent fixture
in the gambling industry.
