Three years have past since Cantor Gaming first took on the task of pioneering lobbying efforts to introduce hand held gambling devices to bring the convenience of online casinos to land based casinos.  Cantor Gaming is a technology associate of Cantor Fitzgerald, the mega financial services group based in the US. 

Cantor further committed to the task this month by submitting their product to the Nevada authorities in order to receive final approval before beginning field tests. 

Should Cantor succeed in their ambitions, they could be perfectly set up in an increasingly competitive and possibly lucrative niche market.  Las Vegas Sands, the company behind the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, has given Cantor permission to introduce it handheld casino product in public areas of the casinos in the United States, Singapore, and Macau. 
 
Las Vegas Sands and Cantor Gaming have also united to create online casinos branded for LVS properties.  Cantor Gaming is already a part of white label deals for online casinos.

Cantor Gaming may be the company to bring Las Vegas in to the new century with mobile gaming and online casinos.  The ease of these two sources of gambling remains the biggest threat to the traditional hotel/casino.
