Online casinos must now welcome Malaysian gaming and leisure group Genting as they have now officially launched their first UK online casino site. 

Genting has yet to operate any online casinos but owns the UK casino chain Stanley Leisure.  Their new online gambling site is located at CircusCasino.com.

After taking a tremendous blow from the United States back in October of 2006, the online casino industry continues to prosper.  The appearance of companies like Genting on the online gambling scene is proof of the industry’s growing influence.

The $17 billion Malaysian firm now has their eyes set on Asia.  Many Asian countries are in the process of opening up to online casino and online gambling and Genting intends to use their new online casino as a testing ground for potential Asian casino launches.

“This is obviously a good opportunity in its own right, but it allows you to play around and trial a lot of things to prepare you if Asia opens up,” said a Genting source.

Stanley has made prior failed attempts to establish online casinos, but that was before being purchased by Genting in 2006.  This time around the firm will operate their online casino on software from London listed Playtech.

The new Genting online casino was launched at Beach Club casino in London’s Mayfair.
