Club World Casinos is doing their part to keep
online casinos and online gambling patrons safe. The company that, of
course, operates Club USA Casino, has warned patrons to disregard any
e-mail claiming to be from their online casinos soliciting signups at a
new online casino. Steve Morgan, Manager of Club World Casino, has made
it clear that the Club World brand is being abused by spammers steal
personal information from Internet users in a phishing scam.
One indicator that this e-mail is not from Club
World is that the message comes from a mail.com account. A message from
club world would have a cwcasinos.com account. According to the fake
e-mail, sent to Club USA members, Club World Casinos has expanded the
operation of online casinos with a new online venue called King Dice
Casino.
The fake ask patrons to register at the new online
casinos by clicking a link. The link leads you to a form where you are
asked to offer sensitive information such as your home address and
credit card number. In the e-mail, the name Susan Harrison is included.
Morgan’s advice is to avoid clicking any links for fear of it unleashing
spyware or malware onto your personal computer. He also advises that if
any patrons have any questions about the legitimacy of an email from
Club World or its online casinos, feel free to contact Club USA customer
service.
This phishing scam only uses the name of Club USA,
this does not undermine the status of Club USA as one of the most
reliable and safe online casinos on the Internet.
