Thomas McMillan is now preparing to live a completely different lifestyle as the country is stuck in the middle of an economic spiral.  While playing the slot machines at Hard Rock Casino Biloxi, McMillan struck a $14,000,000 jackpot.  This marks the biggest jackpot in the history of the state of Mississippi.

Now other slot machine players are hoping that a little bit of McMillan’s luck will rub off on them.  With thousands of slot machines to choose from, Shellene Langfitt chose to play at the same Wheel of Fortune progressive that yielded $14 million to McMillan only a few hours earlier.  It seems that just a little touch of luck was still left in the machine.  Langfitt won nearly four thousand dollars.

“I got lucky. Came out for lunch. Used my extra credit points and hit a jackpot,” said Langfitt.

Chris Kern, marketing director for Hard Rock Casino Biloxi, is now stranger to watching his slot machines payout, but this win was unprecedented.

“People came out from every corner of the casino to see what was going on,” said Kern. 

“We had to rope off the area. There was a lot of excitement going on. It was a fun afternoon.”
