Student Cleans Up At Online Casinos
It never gets old hearing about big wins at online casinos. The
ability to payout large jackpots validates online casinos and indicates
their permanence in the gambling community.
Jonathan McCann, 20 years-old, won $30,000 in an online poker
championship. He is undoubtedly excited. This win in many ways
validates his ability as a poker player.
McCann is currently studying sports science in Liverpool. He won his
$30,000 prize off of a $500 buy-in.
“I qualified for the main tournament by playing in a $60 game
earlier,” said McCann. This is not his first win. He apparently picked
up £3,000 in a poker game two weeks ago. However $30,000 is his biggest
win to date.
Jonathan had stiff competition, being one of 170 players in the
tournament. “The victory was satisfying for me as these players must be
serious players, for they had paid large sums to participate,” said a
proud McCann
“It was a nice thing to learn that I can play with the bigger
players,” he added.
The twenty year old card shark has had other successes. During a
three day poker tournament in Monte Carlo last year, he played valiantly
until the second day.
A level headed gambler, McCann intends to save his winnings and put
it toward a house in the future. Next Sunday, the main tournament will
be held and he is looking forwarded to cleaning up there as well.
McCann will be competing in the UK Poker Tour on the weekend.
Online casinos have become a great way for professional poker players
to make big wins and brush up on skills in between big, live
tournaments.
